You can link your Stripe account to Ignite to allow credit card payments for your events. To create a new Stripe account, visit the site stripe.com and press the start now button. After providing your essential information, you will have to activate your Stripe account. Once inside the platform, go to the Activate your account section of the main menu on the left. Fill in all the required fields with your details and press the Send request button. Once your account is activated and connected to Stripe, go to the Developers > API keys section in the main menu on the left, and in the Standard Keys tab copy your Publishable key (under the token column). Go to the Promoter Settings page on Ignite, and in the Payment Methods section click the Connect Stripe Account button. A window opens where you must enter: the email address you used to register with Stripe in the email field, and you must paste the public Stripe key you copied before in the Public Key field. Go back to Stripe and repeat the same operation for the secret key. In Stripe, go to the Developers > API keys section in the main menu on the left, copy the Secret Key and paste it in Ignite in the Secret key field of the window you previously opened. Once you have filled in the three required fields to link your Stripe account to Ignite, press the Save button. Your Stripe account can now be used to accept credit card payments for your Ignite events. If you'd like to disconnect your Stripe account from Ignite, press the Disconnect Stripe account button. Please note: if you enter the publishable Stripe key and secret Stripe key before you have successfully activated your account, payments will be rejected. Wait for your Stripe account to be activated so that the two keys can be used correctly to receive payments.
You can link your PayPal account to Ignite to allow PayPal payments for your events. A PayPal Business account is required; if you don't know how to create one, go to this link. Once your account is activated and connected to PayPal, click on the gear icon at the top right of the page. Select the item Sales Tools and find API Access. Press the corresponding Update button on the left. Scroll down to the NVP/SOAP API Integration (Classic) section and click the Manage API credentials link. Check Request API signature and press the Accept and send button.You will be given the credentials you will need to enter on Ignite, click on display to view them. Copy the codes of the API User Name, API Password, and Signature. Go to the Promoter Settings page on Ignite, and in the Payment methods section click the Connect PayPal Account button. Paste the codes you previously copied into the relative fields in the window that opens. Your PayPal account can now be used to accept payments to your Ignite events.
